Maximor AI was founded 2023, based in NYC, is a startup that automates finance and accounting workflows using generative AI agents overseen by expert accountants. Raised USD 7.5 million to date.

ROLE

Was brought in to help shape Maximor’s general ledger consolidation, financial reporting & analysis features. Also, collaborated with their in-house designer to design custom components, and update their design system.

Moving Doors partners with property owners to provide “key-ready” accommodations and manages bookings, support, and maintenance through its dedicated tenant app. It’s raised a total of $1.27 million.

ROLE

Founding designer - I led the design of both their web platform and tenant mobile app, helping increase apartment bookings as well as tenant management.

Tracker is an early stage startup that leverages computer-vision and AI to build “digital twins” of rental units, streamlining property inspections and maintenance.

ROLE

Designed an intuitive mobile app experience for Tracker, improving how property owners inspect and manage their rental properties.

Founding designer - I worked directly with the founder and engineering team to define and shape the overall product experience from scratch, making it easy to use for small business owners.

CLIENT

Makalu Health is an AI-driven talent intelligence & recruitment platform that sources high-quality passive physician candidates, for large healthcare organisations.

ROLE

Designed the first version of the product. After prototype testing with recruiters to validate the concept, we learned about their workflow and what they actually need. Re-designed the platform based on these takeaways , whilst making the product as sticky as possible.

What makes you different?

Specialised knowledge - I exclusively focus on turning AI-first products, SaaS, marketplaces and consumer apps into accessible, intuitive everyday products.
Simplicity - Its kind of my thing. That's why I don't do fancy decks, Trello boards or ask you to use any tools you don't already do.
Analytical - I like to assume nothing and question everything, ensuring we capture the most accurate information available to build a truly sustainable and scalable product.  

What services do you offer?

Product design is what I do best and everything that falls under it. That includes, web design, mobile app design, design systems, prototyping, usability testing.

Who is your target customer?

Startups with an initial MVP or an existing product with some product/market fit, looking not only to polish it, but turn it into a truly usable, valuable product that meets the needs of their end-customers, at scale.

Which pricing is better, a project fee or monthly retainer?

This depends on where you are on your startup's journey. Typically, in the early phases, I work with founders on a limited set of features or problems they'd like to solve. Hence a fixed project fee makes sense as it also helps you test out the waters build trust with each other. Later on, as you experience growth and need to standardise your product experience across user scenarios, a monthly retainer is more reasonable.
